meet Laura

Working as a Product Trainer for a healthcare education company, Laura cares deeply about educating and serving the next generation in every setting. Laura grew up in Plano, TX, and attended First Baptist Richardson, where she first met Matt and Tammy Dorsett and their family. Laura graduated from Texas A&M University and became a junior high science teacher in Richardson, where she began to see the impact a mentor can have, both in the teacher-student relationship and in the experienced teacher to new teacher dynamic.

Now, as a member of Eastside Community Church, Laura serves as a kids' leader for 4th and 5th grades, as well as a table leader for the women's Bible study. Laura is excited to develop the mentoring aspect of The Gap at Sawmill Meadow and is eager to see how the Lord will continue to move through this program.
