Are you ready to launch?

A common refrain from Herd One while attending The Gap was “I am realizing that we are hearing from other adults the same things that our parents have told us. But, it is just ‘different’ hearing it from someone else AND being able to practice for 9 months.”

  • So what ARE life skills that are good to feel confident about BEFORE launching into adulthood?

  • And is college the best place to learn those skills while also trying to master an academic environment?

  • And is staying home to learn those skills the best choice if they haven’t already been mastered them while in high school?

We invite new adults to take our 35 question quiz to determine where there might be areas of growth opportunities with life skills that need focus to help you better determine the next best path for you.

We invite parents of new adults to take our quiz to determine where your assessment and your child’s assessment of their skills might differ.

And then we invite you to have a conversation* with each other to determine why the difference and what is a priority.

*In other words, parents, ask at least 5 questions before offering your advice, thoughts, or input. You both might be surprised at what is learned during this process!

TAKE THE QUIZ

  • Answer NO - if you can answer the question to be true less than 20% of the time.

  • Answer PARTIALLY - if you can answer the question to be true somewhere in the middle.
